Determining Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) Changes Using Remote Sensing Method in Lüleburgaz and LULC Change's Impacts on SDGs

Urbanization is among the human activities that affect quality of urban life and sustainable development at a global scale. For monitoring human-induced changes in cities, studies on land use/land cover (LULC) based series satellite images along with geographic information systems (GIS) are widely used. This study aims to evaluate LULC Lüleburgaz between 2001 2021. this purpose, impacts growth natural areas how these handled context goals examined, effects urbanization use change evaluated. The accuracy maps was evaluated by means general index Kappa index. overall rates for 2001, 2010, 2021 were 96.32%, 93.66%, 95.91%, respectively, while values 0.95, 0.91, 0.94. These results indicate that, due effect rapid population over last two decades, built environment increased 4.82% agricultural has decreased 4.88%. result testament upward trend expense depleting significant amount land. findings provide useful data can aid authorities making conscious decisions achieve planning improve environmental conditions.
